Meet Jack

Jack is a Proud Wiradjuri man in his penultimate year of a Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), majoring in Finance and Civil Engineering at the Queensland University of Technology. Jack was in Year 12 when he joined the CareerTrackers High School Program and completed his first Work Shadow experience in 2019, where he first learnt about the Engineering field. Upon finishing Year 12 and prior to the commencement of his university degree, Jack completed a Pre-University internship through CareerTrackers with CPB Contractors, cementing his interest in pursuing a career in the civil space.

Since 2020, Jack has completed five successful internships with CPB, where he has worked on the implementation of the $5.4 billion Cross River Rail project in Meanjin, and has been charged with leading a team responsible for the installation of the foundational structures of each tunnel within the project. Of his very first experience with CareerTrackers in 2019, Jack has said “Because of CareerTrackers, I felt confident starting uni, I knew where to go for help, and I feel certain that I’ve made the right choice about my career.”
